    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Paraprofessional. In this role, you will support teachers and students in a dynamic educational environment. Your primary focus will be to assist in the implementation of instructional programs, ensuring that all students receive the necessary support to succeed academically and socially. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and contributing to their growth and development.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist classroom teachers in preparing instructional materials and maintaining an organized classroom environment.
    • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, by providing individualized attention and encouragement.
    • Monitor student progress during activities and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
    • Facilitate small group or one-on-one instruction to reinforce learning concepts and skills taught in the classroom.
    • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
    • Assist with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as directed by the teacher.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective strategies for student support.
    • Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
    • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational and emotional needs of students.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and school staff.
    • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology tools.
    • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check and comply with all school district policies and procedures.
