Ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference? The City of Chesapeake's Waste Management Division is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to help keep our city clean and beautiful!
As a Waste Management Operator II, you'll be out in the community operating automated side-loaders, rear-loaders, and grapple trucks - loading, compacting, and hauling away refuse with skill and care. You'll also lead a small crew, help with heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds), and make sure work is done safely and efficiently.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training.
EXPERIENCE: In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of one year of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards and a Class B Commercial Driver's License.
