Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (pumps, tanks, filtration, chemical feed systems).
  • Perform routine water sampling, testing, and analysis.
  • Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes to maintain proper water quality.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot system issues, equipment malfunctions, and alarms.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, and related equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations (EGLE and local standards).
  • Monitor chemical inventory and ensure proper handling/storage procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2+ years of wastewater, environmental, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Training will be provided.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (pumps, motors, valves, plumbing systems)
  • Ability to read gauges, meters, and basic technical documents.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or metal finishing environments.
  • Familiarity with pH control, filtration systems, and chemical treatment processes.

Work Environment:
  • Industrial setting with exposure to water systems, chemicals, and production equipment.
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • May require overtime or weekend availability based on production needs.
