The purpose of this position is to review analysis of wastewater, and any other related materials. The employee ensures sampling, monitoring and testing complies with city, state, and federal requirements for wastewater analysis. The employee assigned to this classification performs advanced journey level work in chemical, biological, and bacteriological analysis of wastewater and related solids and liquids in support of efficient operation of wastewater treatment operations. The employee is expected to perform a full range, from basic to complex, of laboratory testing, quality assurance, quality control, and information management. The employee prepares recurring reports and records that require assembling information from more than one source. This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
