Wastewater Operator (Class I-II)
H 2 O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America.
H 2 O is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class I-II) to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes under supervision
- Perform routine inspections, sampling, and basic laboratory testing
- Record operational data and maintain accurate logs
- Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Respond to alarms and assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues
- Support preventative maintenance activities on pumps, valves, and other plant equipment
- Assist with process adjustments to help maintain compliance with permit requirements
The Skills We Are Looking For
- Active Class I or Class II Wastewater Operator License
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and plant operations
- Willingness to learn and grow within the wastewater industry, with the goal of advancing certification levels
- Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system monitoring
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work in varying environmental conditions
