This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems to ensure regulatory compliance and system performance. The operator will support plant operations through process monitoring, sampling, equipment inspection, and data reporting while contributing to a strong safety and environmental culture.
Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Conduct routine inspections of treatment equipment and operational systems
Perform maintenance activities to support optimal plant performance
Collect, analyze, and interpret water and wastewater samples for quality assessment
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions with team members
Document operational data and maintain accurate records for compliance reporting
Prepare reports for internal review and regulatory agencies as required
Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
Collaborate with operations staff to ensure safe and efficient facility performance
2–15 years of experience in wastewater operations or a related field
Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements
Experience operating and maintaining treatment facility equipment
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to operational detail
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Commitment to safety standards and environmental stewardship
