Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
On-Call: Rotation required
Job Overview
Remedy is hiring a reliable and mechanically inclined Wastewater Plant Operator to support daily operations of a wastewater treatment facility. This role involves monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and equipment
- Read and interpret gauges, meters, and control panels
- Conduct routine inspections and record operational data
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, and small mechanical components
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with corrective actions
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work on small mechanical parts
- Ability to read and understand gauges and operational data
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a wastewater treatment facility
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather
- Physical activity required (lifting, walking, climbing, etc.)
