    Description

    The Wastewater Project Engineer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in wastewater construction projects that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Project Engineer that has 5+ years of experience in construction management to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Los Angeles County area - some night work and overtime as required by the project. 

    Projects may include:

    • Sewer Construction and Rehabilitation Projects
    • Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects
    • Liftstation Treatment Plant Projects

    As a Wastewater Project Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and project objectives.
    • Investigate and resolve construction and engineering issues in a timely manner.
    • Review and negotiate contractor change orders, extra work claims, and cost proposals.
    • Evaluate and monitor construction schedules to support on-time project delivery.
    • Track project progress and prepare pay estimates based on completed work.
    • Assess impacts of construction activities on District operations and recommend adjustments as needed.
    • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to maintain project alignment and progress.
    • Prepare monthly project progress reports summarizing schedule, budget, and key milestones.
