Position Summary

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and record keeping necessary to ensure TULSACK’s wastewater treatment and bucket washing systems.

Essential Duties and Tasks

Water Treatment (ALAR)

  • Add chemicals to wastewater.
  • Collect and test water samples, using test equipment and color analysis standards.
  • Record operational data or meter and gauge readings in log book.
  • Operate and adjust controls on equipment to purify and clarify water.
  • Clean and maintain tanks and perform preventative maintenance on all waste treatment equipment.
  • Clean and maintain the ink pan washroom area.
  • Must be able to drive/operate a fork truck, manage waste bins, and prepare roll off container for shipment.
  • Familiarity with PPE and chemical safety.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
  • Drive/operate forklift to assist Production Material Handler.
  • Ensure Waste bin is fully and securely covered each day prior to leaving your shift.

Flexco Bucket Washer

  • Add cleaning chemicals and water to designated tanks.
  • Collect dirty buckets, determine if they fit the guidelines and can be used in the bucket washer.
  • Operate and adjust controls on equipment to purify and clarify water.
  • Familiarity with PPE and chemical safety.
  • Remove clean buckets and store them for future use.
  • Drain soiled rinse water and clean tanks weekly.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional attendance and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
