Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree. Four years of experience in construction management, facilities management, or building maintenance management to include supervisory experience are required. Additional experience in construction management, facilities management, or building maintenance management to include supervisory experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Recruitment Notes
Applicants must have a comprehensive understanding of facilities management, including both business and technical aspects (of facilities management). Extensive knowledge of electrical, structural, and plumbing systems, carpentry, carpet installation, painting and surface preparation, fire safety systems, building security systems, roofing, elevator maintenance, and asbestos abatement is essential. A working knowledge of federal, state, and local building regulations related to the repair and renovation of WASD facilities is preferred. Holding a contractors license is preferred.
