Summary of Position:This position is a corporate office or field position that assists with the management, coordination, and hands‑on construction of one or multiple projects in the water and wastewater treatment industry. Project Engineers work directly for the Project Manager, Project Superintendent or Estimators. Previous Water and Wastewater construction experience is preferred. They thrive on planning projects and working with project teams.Duties and Responsibilities:Update project schedules as requiredAssist the Project Manager with purchase orders, submittal reviews, and preparationMaintain job files, submittal logs, request for information, change and field ordersVerify field measurements for material fabrication and expedite deliveriesSpare parts transferAttend meetings with subcontractors, engineers, and ownersRemain current on safety standards and provide knowledge & feedbackPerform other related duties as assigned by managementAssist in estimating responsibilitiesQualifications and Requirements:Educational background- preferably a Bachelor's degree (at a minimum) in the fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering and/or construction managementPrior internship or Co‑op experience is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage priorities, workflow and handle multiple projects while meeting deadlinesSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficePhysical Requirements/Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:Frequent travel by car; Proof of insurance and a clean DMV record may be required.Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to loud.May be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment when in the field.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; sit; talk and hear.
