WATER CONVERVATION INSPECTOR
We are seeking full and part-time, proactive and detail-oriented Water Conservation Inspectors to monitor, evaluate, and enforce water conservation practices across residential, commercial, and public properties. This role plays a critical part in promoting sustainable water use in our Tri-County area, ensuring compliance with local ordinances, validating rebate programs and educating the community on best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct on-site inspections to validate rebates, identify water waste, irrigation inefficiencies, and non-compliant fixtures or practices
• Investigate complaints and violations related to water usage and conservation regulations
· Inspect toilets, showerheads and faucet aerators to determine flow rates
• Document findings, issue notices of violation, and recommend corrective actions
• Educate property owners, managers, and contractors on conservation techniques and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with utility departments, landscape professionals, and code enforcement teams
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and support data collection for conservation programs
• Stay current on local ordinances, drought restrictions, and emerging conservation technologies
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Horticulture, or related field preferred)

• Knowledge of irrigation systems, plumbing fixtures, and water-efficient technologies is a plus
• Ability to interpret and apply municipal codes and environmental regulations
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills

Schedules
Flexible full and part-time schedules are available and can be custom designed. Minimum 10 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Days available include Monday thru Friday. Day, Afternoon, Evening and Overnight shifts can be accommodated.
