In your role as the Water Department Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of Samsung Austin Semiconductor's ultra-pure water (UPW) and industrial water treatment (IWT) systems. You'll lead safety-focused initiatives, ensuring that all water handling processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as Samsung's internal EHS standards. By overseeing capital and capacity projects, you'll participate in equipment selection, system layout, and vendor negotiations to expand water capacity. Lean principles are applied to equipment- and part-management to reduce waste, increase reliability, and improve overall water-usage efficiency. In addition to strategic oversight, you'll support operations and maintenance teams by guiding FMCS alarm response, coordinating planned and unplanned maintenance, and developing the annual water-related expense budget. Also, you'll lead safety and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and process uptime, while driving a culture of learning, employee development, and job satisfaction within the water engineering team. By anticipating future fab water demands, championing innovative treatment technologies, and aligning with Samsung's sustainability goals, you will ensure robust, compliant, and cost-effective water services that enable world-class semiconductor production.

Anticipate future needs and guide the organization towards effective strategies.
Provide innovative and forward-thinking to drive industry-leading strategies.
Providing effective representation of the department and the site for commercial and strategic considerations with current and prospective vendors and contractors.
Collaborating and driving understanding and strategy with all Samsung fabs globally (Korea, China).
Ensuring all operations, maintenance, training, and documentation meet standards of OSHA and local agencies.
Partnering and collaborating with the site Environmental Health & Safety department to maintain robust safety operations.
Leading a culture of learning and self-improvement.
Sponsoring and promoting programs and a business.
Attract and develop expertise in key areas to support strategic site needs.
Here's what you'll need:
The current base salary range for this role is between $188,000 - $244,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
