The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Water Facilities Operator I in the Department of Utilities. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to six (6) months or up to one (1) year, depending on employment status. Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment used in the distribution, storage, and disinfection of raw andpotable water systems; performs related duties as assigned.
External candidates, probationary full-time, part-time, and temporary City of Henderson employees will start at the first step of the salary range, if selected.
Completed Employment Application
Current Grade I Operator-In-Training Certification Issued by the State of Nevada Department of Environmental Protection in one of the following areas: Water Distribution, Water Treatment, or Wastewater Treatment; or a Grade I Restricted Certification issued by the State of Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) in Wastewater Collections
Current Grade I Water Distribution Certification, or higher, issued by the State of Nevada Department of Environmental Protection, if applicable
Current Grade I Plant Maintenance Technologist certification issued by Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA), if applicable
