You close the job, deliver a neat, code-compliant installation, and leave the site spotless. Later, you review your call with AI-powered coaching tools to continually raise your close rate and your confidence. Some days bring after-hours emergencies, and you’re ready—because getting people back to comfort is what you do.

About the role

As a Water Heating Systems Sales Technician, you’ll combine hands-on technical work with solution-oriented selling for both residential and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Advise, recommend, and sell water heater replacements, filtration add-ons, and upgrades during service visits
• Close sales through transparent options, pricing, and value communication
• Install gas, electric, and tankless units safely and to code
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance
• Apply AI-powered sales coaching tools to analyze calls and strengthen selling skills
• Educate customers on efficiency, performance, and total lifecycle value
• Manage truck inventory, complete accurate job documentation, and maintain clean work areas
• Partner with dispatch and installers to ensure timely completion
• Support emergency calls with overtime as needed
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures

What sets you up for success

• Comfort asking for the sale; prior sales experience preferred
• 1+ year of relevant field experience (plumbing preferred)
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Growth mindset—coachable and open to feedback
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards
