Role Description This full-time, on-site Civil/Environmental Engineer PE role is based in Sarasota, FL. The engineer will design, analyze, and manage civil and environmental infrastructure projects, with a focus on water, wastewater, and waste management systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical reports, plans, and specifications; conducting environmental impact assessments; and ensuring projects meet regulatory and environmental compliance standards. The role involves coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, providing environmental consulting services, and supporting permitting activities. The engineer will also oversee project execution, review field data and engineering calculations, and help guide junior staff to ensure high-quality, sustainable solutions.

What You’ll Do
\n
\n
Lead engineering projects involving water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and water resources
\n
Prepare and oversee designs, studies, models, master plans, permits, reports, and construction documents
\n
Serve as a Project Manager or Technical Lead
\n
Support pilot studies, GIS/CADD, modeling, CEI services, and client coordination
\n
Assist with proposals, business development, budgets, schedules, and presentations
\n
Work with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams
\n
Mentor engineers and CADD staff
\n
Travel occasionally throughout Southwest and West Central Florida
\n
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
\n
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
\n
6+ years of engineering experience
\n
Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 4 months
\n
Strong communication and project management skills
\n
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
\n
Experience with AutoCAD 3D, GIS, hydraulics/modeling, or database management is a plus
\n
Master’s degree and project management experience are preferred
\n
