The Water Engineering department is hiring a water resources engineer to support the operation of Arbuckle Reservoir and other ongoing major water supply projects. How You’ll Contribute:
Perform engineering calculations and designs related to water resources, water conveyance, and development of cost estimates. Review project plans and specifications.
Review and summarize existing reports related to development of new water resources.
Support LCRA’s existing water infrastructure through investigation of technical issues and development of practical solutions.
Work on the design and construction of new pump stations, pipeline projects and reservoirs.
Provide engineering support during construction including visiting project construction sites, visiting equipment fabrication shops, visiting hydraulic labs, witnessing material and equipment tests.
How You’re Qualified:
Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
Driver's license
How You’ll Stand Out:
Passed the FE exam or hold your EIT certification.
Actively pursuing your PE license.
A four-year college degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on water resource engineering or environmental engineering.
