As a Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets.What are the core responsibilities for the role? Lead a project team consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water systemsCoordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholdersCoordinate with office management and other project managers to share resourcesAssist in proposal preparation including oral presentations. Also prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projectsInterface with clients including state and local agenciesWork on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering and construction-related issuesPrepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimatesNegotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants, and clientsLead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirementsPrepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirementsPerform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparationTake ownership of projects from start to finishQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineering License8+ years of experience in the water facilities engineering, design or construction fieldsAbility to manage engineering, design or construction projectsProficiency in Civil3D preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite requiredKnowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D Modeling, and other applicable softwareSolid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other officesPossess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgetsOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWhy would a candidate want this job?
