Job DescriptionTomo Engineering is hiring a Water Resources Project Engineer. Your responsibilities will include design and management of assigned projects, including, but not limited to drainage studies, design, layout and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic flood studies, stormwater management, and sedimentation and erosion control design.Responsibilities:Designing and analyzing storm drainage features, Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs) and Sediment and Erosion Control Best Management Practices (BMPs)Preparing environmental permit drawings and construction plans and specificationsUtilize HEC-RAS software for FEMA floodplain analysis and complianceUtilize MicroStation and GEOPAK design softwareManage and prioritize simultaneous tasks/projectsAble to communicate technical information and coordinate with other design disciplinesRequirements:Working knowledge of basic hydrologic and hydraulics principles8+ years of experience within the stormwater infrastructure and/or drainage engineering designBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering programHas a Professional Engineer license (PE)Previous experience with the NCDOT preferredWorking knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads and/or AutoCad; Proficiency with Microsoft Office softwareLocation:We believe that competent and motivated individuals can work anywhere there is an internet connection.
