This collective passion drives excellence in everything we do.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze Colorado Water Court decreesEstimate historical crop consumptive useEstimate lagged depletions and accretions to river systemsEstimate in‑priority water for surface or groundwater diversions, stream basin hydrologic analyses, and occasional fieldwork related to streamflow measurementsEvaluate diversion sitesEvaluate reservoir sitesProvide deep‑well drilling observationCollect generalized field dataOther duties as assignedQualification RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, hydrology, or geology (Engineering preferred)3–5 years' experience in water rights consultingIn‑depth knowledge of Colorado water lawExperience supporting water lawyers in Colorado Water Court proceedingsFieldwork experience in streamflow measurement and drilling observationStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Excel and database applicationsProficient in Microsoft 365 and Adobe SuitesMunicipal deep well drilling observation preferredData logger and transducer programming and deployment preferredMODFLOW modeling preferredThe job is primarily in the office with occasional work out in the field, primarily in the State of Colorado. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or walk on uneven surfaces. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The range displayed on this job posting reflects salaries for the position based in our Colorado locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job‑related skills.
