Job Description:
This role will be responsible for serving as a pool Lifeguard and teaching program classes.
Examples of Duties:
- Instructs Water Safety Classes for all age levels and skill abilities and maintains records of these classes.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the locker rooms, pool area, aquatic equipment, and pool water.
- Administers First Aid / CPR when necessary.
- Enforces rules and regulations of the facility.
- Answers questions from the public.
- Acts as Pool Manager in case of absence.
- Conducts or officiates swim meets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- One year related experience and/or training
- High School Diploma (or GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License
- First Aid/CPR for Professional Rescuers
- Starfish Water Safety Instructor certification
- Starguard Lifeguard Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a lifeguard
