Description

Job Summary: Individuals will report directly to the Fitness and Aquatic Director.

Duties:

  • Instructing youth and/or adults about water safety.
  • Creating daily and/or weekly lesson plans.
  • Attending staff meetings and trainings.
  • Keeping all certification current.
  • Addressing parent and/or guardian’s concerns, issues and other feedback in a positive, friendly manner.
  • Notify Fitness and Aquatic Director of any concerns, complaints, issues and/or feedback.
  • Issue participant surveys when received from the Fitness and Aquatic Director.
  • Providing leadership and direction to Water Safety Assistants.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the Fitness and Aquatic Director.

Compensation:

Hourly rate of pay dependent on certifications and experience. Increases in rate of pay based on an employee evaluation conducted by the Fitness and Aquatic Director.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold current certification with the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor. Lifeguard Training and CPR preferred.
