Introduction:
The Town of Charlton is seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Water/Sewer Department and Commission. The Administrative Coordinator is the point of contact for the department. Duties include permitting applications, AP and billing, processing new accounts, recording and processing liens, attends nightly meetings, along with a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Department. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.This position is 38 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm and Fridays 7:00am - 1:00pm
Responsibilities:
Process AP and Billing
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
Greet and assist visitors
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
File and maintain electronic and hard copy documents
Assists with permit applications and processing.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficiency with computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office and Excel
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload

Starting Salary Range: $26.48/hr - $29.23/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
Full Salary Range: $26.48/hr - $33.08/hr through step progression
