Water Supply Planner Sr

Here's the Role:

At LCRA, we are seeking a Senior Water Supply Planner! In this role you would help lead water planning and development activities that contribute to the mission of conserving and improving water supplies in the Colorado River basin. You are someone that has expertise in water planning, works well with our customers, and can effectively develop water strategies and innovative solutions. As LCRA’s senior water supply planner, you will work independently and with LCRA staff to administer the LCRA Water Management Plan, guide updates to LCRA’s long-range Water Supply Resource Plan, develop business strategies for future water supply projects, and help lead the evaluation and implementation of new water supply strategies.  We offer a balanced work/life approach that focuses on team interaction in a flexible environment including a hybrid work schedule. How You’ll Contribute:

• Manage highly complex planning and water supply development projects.
• Serve in a leadership role in the Region K water planning process.
• Lead technical, regulatory, and public communications on complex studies.
• Prepare integrated watershed plans that optimize water supply and water quality solutions.
• Research new water supply technologies and their potential application.
• Develop analytical tools and model potential strategies with LCRA staff.

How You’re Qualified:

• Nine or more years of experience in managing complex water supply planning and/or water supply development projects, including experience working with Texas water law and associated regulatory matters.
• A degree(s) in engineering, environmental sciences, hydrology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
