About You

Youre a water treatment professional who brings deep technical knowledge to the table - someone who can read a system, diagnose whats happening below the surface, and make sound process control decisions with confidence. You thrive in a field environment where no two days are exactly the same, and you take pride in knowing that your work directly protects public health and the safety of Gilberts drinking water supply. Youre equally comfortable writing a detailed regulatory report and climbing a ladder to inspect equipment, and you bring a collaborative approach to working across teams, regulatory agencies, and the public.

At Team Gilbert, we hire innovative, forward-thinking problem-solvers who love what they do! In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in environmental science or a closely related field; other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be considered
  • Five years of experience in water treatment with extensive knowledge of biological and/or chemical properties
  • Possession of a Grade 3 or higher Operators Certification in Water Treatment and Water Distribution from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality at time of hire
