Position Summary
The Water Treatment Service Technician supports Delval Equipment Corporation's water treatment operations by traveling daily to customer facilities to collect water samples, perform field testing, and monitor the performance of boilers, cooling towers, and water softeners. This role is responsible for accurate documentation, timely reporting, and maintaining strong customer relationships while representing Delval professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel daily to customer and prospect facilities to collect water samples and conduct field testing on boilers, cooling towers, water softeners, and related water treatment systems
- Perform routine water chemistry monitoring to evaluate and maintain proper system performance, documenting and reporting all results accurately and promptly
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring all sampling, testing, and site cleanup are completed before departing each location
- Complete and submit all customer reports and internal paperwork on time with required signatures
- Responsible for the proper submission of daily paperwork and timekeeping records
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and present solutions to existing customers to support account growth
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted technical advisor in the field
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, service recommendations, and cost justifications tailored to each customer's needs
- Collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Exercise independent judgment, leadership, discretion, and professionalism in daily activities
- Maintain physical stamina and mental alertness required for safe field operations
- Attend monthly departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, weekends, and as business demands
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all work performed

Requirements
- Ability to perform work safely, adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Ability and willingness to learn and perform assigned tasks and develop required skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining professionalism
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment screening and ongoing drug/alcohol testing and background check
- Prior MS Office and ERP experience a plus
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, company policies, and regulatory compliance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in water treatment, HVAC, boiler systems, or technical field service preferred
- Familiarity with chemical feed and control equipment is a plus
- English proficiency and computer/phone/tablet skills required
