Overview STV's Austin, TX location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Water Practice Group. STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the design, construction, and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities and pipelines. Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close‑out.Responsibilities Production of contract documents including plans and specificationsPerform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculationsPerform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumpsPrepare construction and design cost estimatesDevelop project specificationsPlan and design water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systemsWillingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projectsMake site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installationReview construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documentsQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or NCEES equivalentMinimum of 4 years of experience in water and wastewater systems designTX PE License is requiredExperience working with local municipalities and utility companiesAbility to work and communicate well with other design disciplinesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsFamiliarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plusCompensation $104,402.58 – $119,317.24.
