We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Water/Wastewater Modeler Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of hydrologic and hydraulic models for water and wastewater systems. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify project requirements, develop modeling strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing system performance and enhancing service delivery.
Key responsibilities include conducting model simulations, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations. You will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support project planning, design, and construction phases. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the quality and accuracy of modeling work. Proficiency in modeling software such as HEC-RAS, EPANET, or MIKE is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater modeling. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for conveying complex information effectively to diverse audiences. A professional engineering license (PE) is preferred but not mandatory.
