We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Practice Lead to guide the strategic direction of the practice across all metro locations — leading the production team, managing resources, and ensuring seamless project execution. This role develops proposals/contracts that support profitability and scope alignment, drives short- and long-term strategic planning, cultivates client relationships, identifies cross-sell opportunities, and represents McAdams at regional/national industry events as a thought leader.
What You'll Do
Own strategic direction of the practice: lead the production team, manage resources, resolve complex technical problems, collaborate on project execution
Coordinate resource scheduling to manage workload and deadlines
Develop proposals/contracts ensuring adequate scope, profitability, and viable schedules
Understand client business needs to identify new opportunities and cross-sell firm services
Own short- and long-term strategic market sector planning
Own profitable operation of the Water/Wastewater Practice Area (Water Resources division)
Represent McAdams at industry events/conferences; build thought leadership
What You'll Bring
PE required
B.S. in Engineering
10+ years related experience/training
Strong motivation to build a Water/Wastewater practice
Proven business development track record with key client relationships
Ability to source, grow, train, and lead PM/design teams
