We are looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our New England Water Team. The role focuses on designing water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects across multiple states.LocationsBoston, MARocky Hill, CTWorchester, MAManchester, NHResponsibilitiesDevelop and provide technical design support for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.Perform engineering calculations, analyze results, and communicate technical processes effectively to team members and clients.Participate in or lead field reconnaissance activities and site visits to assess project needs and conditions.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, contributing ideas and recommendations that leverage your engineering expertise across different areas of focus.Prepare and review design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.Support project management tasks, including scheduling, permitting, and construction coordination.Contribute to the preparation of reports, proposals, and other project-related documentation.Mentor and guide junior staff, providing leadership and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.Engage in professional development activities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in water/wastewater design and infrastructure engineering.QualificationsB.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.6-10 years of experience in water and wastewater design projects, with a focus on infrastructure engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; motivated candidates capable of obtaining PE within one year will also be considered.Experience in preparing design documents, including cost estimates, schedules, and permitting support.Knowledge of water resources planning, distribution/collection systems design, and trenchless technologies is a plus.A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working in the infrastructure engineering field.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design tools.Demonstrated ability to manage design tasks and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.
