U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a staff of over 950 employees in twenty states.Position SummaryThe Dual Licensed Water & Wastewater Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities across one or more plants. This role ensures systems are functioning efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems and equipmentMonitor plant operations using flow meters, gauges, control panels, and PLC systemsTroubleshoot operational issues and take corrective action in accordance with proceduresRecord operational data, observations, and conditions in daily logsPerform routine and preventative maintenance tasksConduct field laboratory testing (chemical and physical) to support process controlAdjust chemical dosages to optimize treatment performanceIdentify and report equipment malfunctions or process variancesEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsParticipate in on-call rotation as requiredQualificationsClass C or higher FDEP Water License AND Class C or higher FDEP Wastewater Operator License (required)Valid driver's licenseAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screeningPrevious experience with drinking water and wastewater treatment plantsRoute system experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompensation is commensurate with experience and aligned with market rates.U.S. Water/USW Utility Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityPaid time off and holiday pay401(k) with company matchCompensation and Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience and market-reflective.
