    Waterjet General Labor (Day Shift)

    Shift: Day Shift

    Location: Cincinnati, OH

    FAA Training/Testing Required

    Job Function:

    Reporting to the Waterjet Operations Manager, the General Labor person will assist in expediting the daily operations and functions of the Waterjet Department. Will coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within department and in accordance with product and/or department supervisor's priorities.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assisting production by loading and unloading fixtures
    • Scanning
    • Making sure fixtures are clean and ready
    • Supporting Maintenance in routine tasks
    • Internally transporting inventory as needed
    • Forklift and/or crane operation
    • Adhere to all Quality, Safety, and FAA standards

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent- Documentation required
    • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)- Documentation required
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects, with minimal supervision
    • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English and with minimal supervision
    • Must be able to work all required hours which may include weekends
    • Must function effectively within a team environment
    • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required throughout the shop including maintenance, janitorial, and assisting in manufacturing and inspection
    • Will be required to obtain forklift certification
    • Ongoing FAA training and testing required
    • MTI is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment FAA drug testing will be required.

    Preferable Experience:

    • Knowledge of machining process
    • Prior facilities maintenance experience
    • Current forklift certification
    • Current crane certification

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment.
