Waterjet / Laser Operator | Join our team In this role, you'll operate advanced laser cutting equipment to produce high quality parts while working in a safe, team driven manufacturing environment. If you enjoy hands on work, solving problems, and working with precision equipment, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.What You'll DoDetermines sequence of operations by studying the router, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.Loads the appropriate computer program to operate the laser for the part in process.Prepares machine for production by positioning parts on laser table with clamps or jigs.Regulates machines by setting and adjusting controls.Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications. Notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting supervisor of necessity of repairs.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.Contributes to continuous improvement process.Perform other duties as assignedWhat You BringEducation & KnowledgeHigh school diploma or GED1–3 years of manufacturing experienceBasic math and reading skillsSkills & AbilitiesExperience with laser or CNC equipmentKnowledge of quality control and inspection toolsFamiliarity with OSHA safety standardsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to bend and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
