SUMMARY
Washington Adventist University is hiring student workers to support operations for the UNESCO Center for Peace Camp, hosted on campus from July 19 to August 1, 2026. This is a flexible, temporary position. Students hired into this role may be assigned to one or more functional areas across campus depending on the needs of the event, and may report to different supervisors based on their assignment. Assignments may include residence hall and front desk support, housekeeping and facilities support, campus safety and security support, and general event and hospitality support. Workers should expect that their specific duties, work location, and supervisor may vary from shift to shift.

QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Depending on assignment, the employee may be required to stand or walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, and climb stairs; and lift and carry medium to heavy materials, supplies, and equipment. Some assignments require work in indoor and outdoor settings and during long hours, including weekends and evenings.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a temporary, seasonal position for the duration of the UNESCO Center for Peace Camp, July 19 to August 1, 2026. Hours will vary based on event needs and are not guaranteed. In accordance with University policy, student employees must work less than 38 hours per week during the summer break, counting all hours worked across every department in which the student is employed. This position is not eligible for University benefits. Employment is at-will and ends at the conclusion of the event period unless otherwise extended in writing.
