Position Details Employment Type: RegularWork Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)Language Fluency: English (Required)Position Overview A Legal Wealth Advisor 3 is responsible for origination and on-going management of a profitable loan, deposit, fee income, and non-interest income portfolio from attorneys and small to mid-sized law firms through the development and retention of long term, profitable client relationships.The Legal Specialty Group (LSG) provides financial advice and solutions exclusively to attorneys and law firms, sharing experience and expertise in understanding the ever-changing dynamics of the legal profession, and anticipating the issues and trends most important to the legal community.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage a profitable book of clients consisting of small to mid-size law firms and attorneys, consisting of deposits, loans, and assets under management. Typical book size $5MM+ in revenue with emphasis on family wealth relationships of tenured partners within LSG client firms.Develop a business plan annually to include marketing and client acquisition plan in conjunction with a service delivery plan for clients and prospects.Proactively originate new business via leads and referrals via Centers of Influence, marketing efforts, asking for personal introductions from clients, and personal & professional networking in the areas of deposits, loans, and investments.Act as "face" of private practice within LSG firm relationship teams for assigned firms.May act as "Market Leader" for a respective geography at the discretion and direction of the Head of LSG.Identify and "right channel" opportunities for clients and prospects-deliver the comprehensive resources of the bank.Coordinate and lead the WRAP process for advice delivery-lead relationship strategy sessions as appropriate with relationship teams and deliver Legal Specialty Group value proposition.Document all client interactions via CRM system.Establish and maintain consistent visibility within local legal market via event attendance (Association of Legal Administrators, Bar Associations, ProBono foundations, etc.).Participate in campaigns or volunteer at committee or board level within legal-focused non-profits within local market.Support LSG teammates through collaborative relationship strategies and teamwork.Develop process to mitigate risk within individual practice to include emphasis around the operational, regulatory, and reputational environments.Fosters continued personal and professional growth via education seminars, conference attendance, and other continuing education activities.Lead discussions with team members around specific wealth topics, market developments, legal profession, and/or best practices.Mentors and supports junior wealth advisors and associates.Qualifications Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree8 years or more of private banking experience in wealth-focused rolesFINRA: Series 7, Series 66, Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses and SAFE Act registration. Teammates will have 60 days from their Start Date to transfer or 90 days to acquire all registrations and licenses required for this position.Extensive knowledge of banking products and services, corporate banking & private banking arenasSatisfies regulatory requirements for holding this position, including determination by Truist to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending ActProven success in the acquisition of new high net worth & ultra-high net worth client relationships. Demonstrated experience and success in meeting and exceeding sales goals, identifying and delivering on client needsExtensive understanding of wealth management and financial planning considerations for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and wealthy familiesSuperior consultative and client management skills with the ability to sell a wide range of products and servicesExcellent oral, written, presentation and client service skillsDemonstrated ability to lead multi-faceted client mandates and coordinated relationship engagement teamsRobust understanding of the legal professionNiche expertise in serving the specific needs of one or more practice areas within the legal communityStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office ProductsPreferred Qualifications:CFP, CTFA, CDFA or similar designation. MBA or other advanced post-graduate degree.Compensation The annual base salary for this position is $225,000 - $250,000.Benefits All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays. Depending on the position and division, the job may also be eligible for Truist's defined benefit pension plan, restricted stock units, and/or a deferred compensation plan.
