Overview
The Wealth Associate RM is an entry-level transitional role with expected development to a Wealth Relationship Manager or Advisor role. This role will function within and support servicing, planning, and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Knowledge of full portfolio of JFG products and services; actively cross-sells full breadth and depth of products. • Actively join calls with lead Relationship Manager on identified target segments, prospects, centers of influence, etc. to support new business development and client acquisition efforts. • Participate and assist with regular telephone and face-to-face client reviews. Give persuasive sales presentations and tailors delivery and material to meet audience needs as directed by lead Relationship Manager. • Frequent phone contact with clients regarding planning-related issues (goals review, performance review), directed by lead Relationship Manager. • Assist Client Service Specialists with client services activities, client calls; understand the process of service-related requests. • Attend to special client needs such as cash requirements and reserves, tax planning, and distribution analysis.
Financial Planning:
• Review, prepare, and update client-based plans, financial and estate planning primers, estate planning attorney searches. • Clear Touch: contribute to internal client service process and maintain client contact services standards.
Developing Relationships and Managing Risks:
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners to expand customer relationships across all lines of business. • Actively manage inherent risks by adhering to internal policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements, and exercising sound judgment. • Complete, timely, and accurate CRM documentation of prospect/COI relationships.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of experience working with affluent clients. • A combination of appropriate education and experience will be considered. • Demonstrated expertise in sales, networking, negotiating, business acumen, and execution. • Specialized knowledge of investment management and financial planning. • Series 65 (IA) required (will be given 6 months to achieve). • Required to pursue Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. • Knowledge of Estate Planning & Trust, Lending/Banking, Qualified Plans, and Business Succession desired. • Understanding and strong working knowledge of MS Office products; familiarity with Schwab, Fidelity, RBC, and planning software. • Ability to effectively utilize Bank and Wealth Operating Systems.
