We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Portfolio Manager to join our Wealth Management team and assume management of a $200 million portfolio of mutual funds and ETFs spanning a number of portfolios, both with and without alternatives, aligned to each models specific investment objectives. This individual will report directly to the EVP, Head of Relationship Management and will serve as the primary steward of portfolio construction, ongoing management, and internal distribution of the model portfolios to the firms financial advisors.
The expected base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Portfolio Management
- Assume management responsibility for a $200MM multi-asset portfolio of mutual funds and ETFs across 12 model portfolios.
- Construct and maintain strategic and tactical asset allocations consistent with the objectives of each model, with and without alternatives.
- Conduct ongoing due diligence on fund and ETF holdings, evaluate replacements and new additions as needed.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk metrics and market developments; execute timely rebalancing decisions.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and portfolio reviews for internal stakeholders and advisors.
Advisor Relations & Internal Marketing
- Serve as the internal champion for the model portfolios, proactively marketing them to the firms financial advisors.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, commentaries and materials that clearly articulate each models strategy, positioning and performance.
- Build strong working relationships with advisors to drive adoption and address portfolio-related questions.
- Contribute to broader firm strategy on products and services.
- Translate complex investment concepts into accessible language tailored to advisors and clients.
Research & Strategy
- Perform due diligence on ETFs and mutual funds with accompanying documentation and publication.
- Stay current on macroeconomic trends, capital markets and the evolving mutual fund and ETF landscape.
- Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio construction, fund selection processes and model design.
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- 8 years of experience in portfolio management or investment management with direct experience managing multi-asset model portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in mutual fund and ETF selection, due diligence and portfolio construction.
- Experience with or exposure to alternative investment strategies within a model portfolio context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to financial advisors and clients.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Sound investment judgment, high integrity and discretion with sensitive client and firm information.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA designation or equivalent.
- CAIA, CFP or other relevant designations.
- Experience within a family office, RIA, broker-dealer or wealth management environment.
- Familiarity with advisor-facing distribution or internal wholesaling.
- Experience with research tools such as FI360 and Morningstar Advisor Workstation.
