WRGB CBS6 has a great opportunity for you! We are looking for quarter or semester weather interns for our News Department. This unpaid internship is designed for students who are interested in broadcast meteorology, weather forecasting, or weather production, and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional newsroom.
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated students who are excited to learn and get the most out of their internship experience. No prior newsroom experience is required—just a strong interest in weather and a willingness to learn.
As a weather intern, you will have the opportunity to interact with meteorologists and newsroom professionals while being exposed to the daily weather process—from forecast preparation and weather meetings to how weather stories are developed and shared across broadcast and digital platforms.
Requirements:
This is an unpaid, educational internship intended to provide valuable real-world experience in broadcast weather and forecasting.
