JOB SUMMARY:
The Weatherization Assessor/Inspector I/II evaluates client homes to determine eligibility for energy efficiency measures and inspects completed work to ensure compliance with program standards and funding requirements.
Level II performs advanced inspections for Department of Energy (DOE) contracts and serves as a trainer for Level I staff.

Certifications are preferred at time of hire; however, employees who do not possess required certifications shall obtain such certifications within six (6) months of employment. The organization provides access to training and professional development resources to support attainment of required credentials and progression within the classification series.

Work variable hours and days, including those outside regular Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours.
Meet and maintain KCAO hiring requirements which include:
Criminal Record Clearance including California DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Centralized Index (CACI), National Sex Offender Public Website (NSPOW), and the California Sex and Arson Registry (CSAR) (Megan's Law).
Reliable, insured transportation and valid California Driver License.
Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) acceptable to KCAO's vehicle insurer.
Health examination with tuberculin clearance.
Ability to be contacted outside of regularly scheduled work hours in case of emergency.
Travel in and outside of the County for assessments, inspections, and training purposes.
