Web Accessibility Specialist / Content Producer
Job Number: 26-01033

Help drive change! ECLARO is looking for a Web Accessibility Specialist / Content Producer for our client in Albany, NY (Remote).

ECLARO’s client advocates for energy efficiency and clean energy technology. If you’re up to the challenge, then take a chance at this rewarding opportunity!

Responsibilities:
  • Document and web accessibility testing and remediation.
  • Remediate PDFs, MS Office documents, and website content to meet accessibility guidelines prior to publishing on NYSERDA web sites.
  • Training team on PDF remediation.
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Large Scale Renewables team.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and PDF / UA standards.
  • Seman C HTML.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Ability to interpret logical flow and reading order of documents.
  • Ability to write accurate alt text and descriptions for images and graphs.
  • Ability to communicate accessibility best practices.
  • Ability to train and support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional (Accessibility Remediation)
