Job Title: Graphic Designer 2

Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid - 3x per week in-office)

Rate: $44-$46 per hour

Duration: 8/3/2026 - 12/31/2026; Extension possible


This role supports a high-impact creative team focused on developing AI-driven content and motion design experiences within a leading productivity ecosystem. The Motion Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling video and motion assets that enhance customer-facing marketing, social media, and product storytelling.

The position operates at the intersection of motion design, storytelling, and AI-enabled digital experiences, contributing to innovative content used at global scale.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field

Experience

  • Proven professional experience in motion design, video editing, or digital content production
  • Experience developing motion and video assets for marketing, product, or customer-facing use cases
  • Demonstrated experience working within structured production environments

Core Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, storytelling, and polished execution
  • Solid understanding of motion principles, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables, timelines, and workflows with high accuracy
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for technology or SaaS products
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for video and motion content
  • Experience incorporating stakeholder feedback within iterative design cycles

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated portfolio of high-quality motion design and video work is required
  • Candidates with inconsistent employment history or short tenure patterns may not be considered
  • Must be willing to complete a pre-interview motion design test

Assessment Process

  • Mandatory 30-minute motion design test completed prior to interview consideration
  • Technical evaluation includes one to two interview rounds (30 to 45 minutes each)
  • Evaluation timeline expected during the week of July 20, 2026

Performance Measurement

  • Quality of motion design output and reduction in revision cycles
  • Volume and consistency of asset delivery
  • Adherence to timelines and milestone completion
  • Effective communication of status, risks, and deliverables

Key Responsibilities

Motion Design and Video Creation

  • Develop high-quality motion graphics, animations, and video assets for marketing and customer-facing channels
  • Translate product narratives and raw assets into engaging visual stories
  • Create polished content that supports product education, storytelling, and user engagement
  • Refine visual output to improve pacing, clarity, and overall impact

Video Editing and Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage, product demos, and digital assets into cohesive videos
  • Apply transitions, motion effects, typography, sound synchronization, and color adjustments
  • Deliver assets optimized for multiple formats and platforms including social, marketing, and presentations
  • Ensure all outputs meet brand, accessibility, and quality standards

Design Quality and Brand Execution

  • Apply strong visual judgment across composition, typography, hierarchy, and storytelling
  • Maintain alignment with brand standards and product experience guidelines
  • Continuously improve clarity, visual appeal, and audience relevance

Production Management and Workflow

  • Manage file organization, naming conventions, version control, and asset tracking
  • Maintain timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules across multiple projects
  • Track feedback, revisions, and approvals to ensure accurate final deliverables
  • Proactively communicate risks, blockers, and dependencies

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
