Web Content Ops Production Lead

Duration: 6 months plus W2 Contract 

Location: 100% remote USA 

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Web Content Operations Production Lead to drive execution across the company's web and e‑commerce ecosystem. This contractor role owns end-to-end content operations—from intake through delivery—ensuring content is efficiently authored, managed, quality-checked, and published within Sitecore.

The ideal candidate blends deep CMS expertise with content operations, UX writing, and production execution, playing a critical role in delivering high-quality digital content quickly and at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end web content production workflows, from intake through publishing, ensuring efficiency and on-time delivery
• Manage and track content requests using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), driving accountability across Product, Marketing, and Design teams
• Act as the central point of coordination by aligning stakeholders, clarifying requirements, and managing expectations
• Identify and remove bottlenecks to streamline content production and publishing processes
• Serve as a primary Sitecore CMS author, responsible for creating, updating, and publishing web content
• Ensure accurate implementation of content, including layout, structure, and component usage
• Perform content QA to validate accuracy, functionality, accessibility, and brand compliance prior to publication
• Troubleshoot publishing issues and maintain adherence to governance, taxonomy, and content standards
• Structure and optimize web pages based on business needs and stakeholder input
• Develop content wireframes and structured page plans to guide design and development
• Translate inputs into clear, user-friendly, publish-ready digital experiences
• Support both planned initiatives and urgent/ad hoc content requests
• Write, edit, and refine UX and marketing copy as needed
• Act as a production-level copy owner for key initiatives, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality
• Perform final content reviews, last‑mile edits, and rapid updates under tight timelines

What You Bring

• 7–10+ years of experience in content operations, digital content production, and content strategy
• Strong hands-on experience with Sitecore CMS, including authoring, editing, and publishing
• Proven ability to manage high-volume content workflows in fast-paced environments
• Experience with project and ticketing tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or Asana
• Demonstrated ability to create content wireframes and structured page plans
• Strong writing and editing skills across UX and marketing content
• Comfort working cross-functionally and taking ownership from intake through delivery
