Job Description:Supervisor: Equipment Service Manager
Job Description: The Parts Runner is responsible for the timely pickup, delivery, and distribution of parts, supplies, and materials required to support the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime by ensuring technicians and field personnel receive the correct parts when needed.
Essential functions and responsibilities:- Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and supplies between vendors, company facilities, and job sites.
- Verify parts received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting parts safely.
- Coordinate with parts, service, and operations personnel to prioritize deliveries.
- Inspect delivered parts for damage and report discrepancies.
- Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and team members.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Additional tasks as needed to enhance the operations of the company
Requirements:- Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications; bilingual Spanish preferred
- Ability to safely operate pickup trucks, trailers, forklifts, and warehouse equipment.
- Support equipment uptime through efficient parts distribution.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and delivery documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
