Website & Communications Specialist

At the League of Women Voters in Oakland, our mission is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government. We pursue our mission through education on major public policy issues and by influencing public policy through research and advocacy.

We are searching for a Website & Communications Specialist to spend 2-3 hours per week collaborating with committee leads to update our website with specific messaging. Our ideal candidate has at least 1 year of website, project management, or content marketing experience. Bonus points for some background in writing.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Collaborate with program, writing, video, and comms team members to collect messaging and assist in editing and posting high quality content
• Some experience with or a willingness to learn: Google Suite, Slack, Club Express, and Canva
• 1 year of website, project management, content marketing, or related experience
• Editorial mindset with a passion for audience preferences
• Project management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English
• Degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
