Senior HelpersNorthern Orange County is looking for experienced WEEKEND Caregivers ONLY -
Caregiver Qualifications:
- Experience with transferring clients between various locations (wheelchair, bed, etc.) utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Experience with using a gate belt assistance.
- Experience with assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks including sponge baths, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.
- Experience with assisting clients with incontinence care and bed-ridden care.
- Willing to attend training regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
- 1 year of experience preferred, but not required.
- reliable transportation
- Driver's license & auto insurance
What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.
- Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
- Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (walking, gardening, games, etc.)
- Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
- Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
- Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
