Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dependable State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA/CNA) or Equivalent Experienced Caregivers to join our team for weekend shifts in a home care setting. As a Weekend STNA/Caregiver, you will provide high-quality care to seniors and individuals needing assistance, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. This role is perfect for those seeking work-life balance during the week while earning premium pay on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Support mobility and transfers (e.g., using gait belts, wheelchairs, or hoyer lifts as needed).
Serve meals, assist with feeding, and monitor nutritional intake.
Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Observe and document resident behavior, health status, and any incidents.
Follow individualized care plans and adhere to infection control protocols.
Assist with incontinence care, skin integrity checks, and basic wound care under supervision.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Requirements
Preferred but not required, Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification strongly preferred (or equivalent CNA with Ohio approval).
Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or as a caregiver (1+ year preferred, but new grads or experienced non-certified caregivers may be considered).
Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision.
Physical capability to lift/transfer residents (up to 50+ lbs), bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (for in-home care positions).
Clear background check, drug screen, and up-to-date immunizations (including TB test and COVID vaccination as required).
Availability to work every weekend or every other weekend (flexible options available).
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's care or rehabilitation patients.
CPR and First Aid certification.
