We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, professional, and comfortable providing one-on-one care in a private home setting.
McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We provide one-on-one care in the home and are currently seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers for weekend opportunities through our Venice office.
About the Weekend Hours- Morning shifts such as 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Short or split shifts, including 2–3 hour AM or PM visits
- Standard shifts of 4–6 hours
- Extended day or overnight shifts of 7–12 hours
- 12-hour day and overnight shifts are frequently available
Schedules vary by client, with opportunities for consistent, ongoing assignments.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe mobility.
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
Assist with meal preparation, hydration, and medication reminders.
Help with light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and maintaining a safe home environment.
Observe and report changes in client condition or concerns to the office team.
Follow individualized care plans and complete required documentation.
RequirementsStrong communication skills and a dependable, professional attitude.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
Current TB test, or willingness to obtain.
