The CT Technologist performs CT scans while providing the highest level of customer service and image quality. In this role, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of human growth and development to provide age-appropriate care for all patients served. Beyond the scanner, you will coordinate patient flow, manage documentation in PACS and Meditech, and maintain the clinical environment through daily cleaning and stocking. You will act as a vital link in the care team by communicating with physicians and family members, answering patient questions, and ensuring all exams are completed according to ALARA principles and hospital protocols.
What You Will Do in This Role
Perform high-quality CT exams following established protocols in a timely manner.
Prepare procedure trays, start IVs for contrast administration, and utilize the power injector.
Gather patient history, signs, and symptoms to provide radiologists with necessary clinical context.
Support department quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) initiatives while adhering to ICARE values.
Comply with quarterly targeted metrics and maintain all required licenses and accreditations.
Contribute to the department's after-hour coverage through a collaborative on-call shift rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the diagnostic imaging team.
What Qualifications You Will Need
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
BLS certification required.
