The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize grocery products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.What you will do:* Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport grocery products throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stacking products in designated storage areas.* Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of product movements within the warehouse.* Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders by accurately picking and staging products for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.* Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation, including conducting pre-operational checks, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management.* Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs to maintenance personnel.* Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and address any issues or concerns related to forklift operations.What you have:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Ability to pass internal forklift operator certification.* Minimum of 1 year of experience operating (stand-up) forklifts in a warehouse or similar* environment.* Strong understanding of company and OSHA safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation.* Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferredPhysical Requirements:* Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees and below)* Regular work with computers, including G Suite and Excel.* Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.* Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.Benefits:* Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k)* Annual Misfits grocery box credit of $1200 paid in weekly installments* Life insurance* Paid vacation time* Paid holidays* Paid sick days* Commuter benefits* Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr.Schedule:Thursday-Sunday* Thursday 12 pm-5 pm* Friday-Saturday 7 am-5:30 pm* Sunday- 6:00 am-4:30 pmPlease see here for Misfits Market's Job Applicant Privacy Notice.
