Job Overview
The Janitorial Agent is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary airport environment throughout the assigned terminal and facility areas. This role supports daily janitorial operations by ensuring public areas, restrooms, employee spaces, and common areas are consistently cleaned and maintained to company and airport standards. The Janitorial Agent plays an important role in creating a positive experience for passengers, visitors, and airport personnel.
- Schedule is 20 hours weekly for the weekend during the AM and PM shifts.
- PM: Saturday & Sunday is 1500-2330 AND Friday 1300-1700
- $20.13 an hourly rate
Key Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout assigned airport areas and replace liners as needed.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, seating areas, elevators, escalators, and high-touch surfaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces following assigned routes and schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness of terminal common areas, corridors, lobbies, and operational spaces.
- Restock restroom supplies including soap, paper towels, tissue paper, and other sanitation products.
- Report damaged equipment, safety hazards, spills, or maintenance concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Safely transport cleaning carts, vacuums, mops, and janitorial equipment throughout the airport facility.
- Follow designated cleaning procedures and safety standards while working in active airport environments.
- Inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with company and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Support special cleaning assignments and operational needs as directed by management.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance while working in public-facing airport areas.
- Follow all company policies, airport regulations, and security procedures.
- Waxing, buffing, and stripping floors.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to pass airport background screening and obtain required airport security credentials.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as operationally required.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift, push, or carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work extended periods on foot throughout airport facilities.
- Must be able to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.

Work Environment
- Work is performed primarily inside airport terminals and operational facilities.
- Position may require occasional outdoor work when servicing exterior areas or transporting waste.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, routine airport noise, moving equipment, and high pedestrian traffic is expected.
- Work environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to airport safety and security procedures at all times.
